Aluminium foils are used to wrap food items.
(c) Copper cannot displace zinc from its salt solution.
(d) Sodium and potassium are stored in kerosene
Answers
Answer:
a. because alminium is maliable.
b. because copper is less reactive than zinc
C. because sodium and potassium can caught fire easily at room temperature and are highly reactive too so can't be stored in water

Answer:
Aluminium foils are used to wrap food items because good conductors of heat and they help in keeping the food warm.
Copper cannot displace zinc from its salt solution because Copper is less reactive as compared with zinc and in displacement reaction a more reactive element displaces a less reactive element from its salt solution.
(d) Because sodium and potassium are highly reactive metals so if they are kept in atmosphere then they react with the oxygen to form it's oxide and in this the heat generated heats it to it's ignition temperature and if they are kept in water then it reacts with water to form it's hydroxide and liberate hydrogen gas and this a very vigorous reaction so the heat energy generated during reaction burns the hydrogen gas which in turn burns sodium or potassium. So that's why they are kept in kerosene because they do not react with kerosene.
