The correct question should be :-

6 grams of urea is dissolved in 90 grams of water, the mole fraction of solute is ??

Sol:- Given,

mass of urea = 6 gram.

we know, molar mass of urea = 60 gram.

Therefore, moles of urea = given weight /molar mass = 6/60 = 1/10.

moles of water = 90/18 = 5.

Therefore,

mole fraction of solute = moles of solute /moles of (solute + solvent)

Here, moles of solvent >>> moles of solute ,

Hence, mole fraction = moles of solute /moles of solvent

= 1/50 Ans.
