Firstly, water should to be added to the mixture of NaCl and CaCO3. Stir well. CaCO3 is poorly soluble in water while NaCl will dissolve completely in the water. Then, separate the insoluble CaCO3 from the NaCl solution by filtration. Obtain the CaCO3 as the residue and the NaCl solution as the filtrate. Carry out crystallisation using the NaCl solution to collect solid NaCl crystals.
