HIV infects and destroys certain white blood cells called CD4+ cells. If too many CD4+ cells are destroyed, the body can no longer defend itself against infection. The last stage of HIV infection is AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome).

The Virus enters from blood as it is the main medium for it
It can be spread through sexual contact, blood transfusion or from infected mother to child ( in womb )
The person has a weak immunity system as the virus attacks mainly the immune system and the virus reproduces more, the immune system gets outnumbered. It is a fatal disease which cant be cured.
