1) Once pollen grain spreads on the stigma, it produces a pollen tube. ... Male nucleus is transferred through this pollen tube. Finally, fusion of male and female nuclei takes place inside the ovary. This step is called fertilization.

2) The reaction between an acid and bases is called a neutralization reaction. The result of the reaction is salt and water. For example, when hydrochloric acid(acid) and sodium hydroxide(base) react they form sodium chloride(salt) and water. Also, heat is evolved.
