Let the number of 5 rupees coins be x THen number of 2 rupees coins will be 3x.According to the question,

2(3x) + 5(x) = 77

6x + 5x = 77

11x = 77

x = 7

Hence, the number of 5 rupees coins is 7 and that of 2 rupees coins is 21.
