Answer :-

first, ( x, y) = 0, a substitute in x, y values

- a = 34

and b, 0 substitute in x , y

v = 34

b = 34/8 = 17/4

Answer:

(i)Since (a,b) and (b,0) lie on the line y=8x+3 , they must satisfy this equtaion .

→b=8a+3

→0=8b+3

Solving we get b=

8

−3

 and a=

64

−27

(ii)Since (2,0) doesn't satisy y=8x+3 ,therefore it is not its solution .
