Answer:

85 soldiers

Step-by-step explanation:

40 soldiers = 24 kg

Which is 1 soldier =

 \frac{40}{24}

Now , 51 kg = how many soldiers ? (x)

So , 40/24 = x /51

40 × 51 = 24 × x ( we get this when we do

cross multiplication )

2040 = 24x

2040 /24 = x

So , x = 85

That means 85 soldiers can consume a supply of 51 kg of rice per day .
