6. In Figure 6, AB CD. If angle 1 = (3x - 10)° and angle 7 (5x - 30)° find the measure of angle 1 and angle 7.

[Hint: angle 1 = angle 3 (vertically opposite angles) =angle 3 = (3x - 10).
angle 3 = angle 7 (corresponding angles) = 3x - 10 = 5x - 30.)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Angle 1 = ( 3x - 10 )

Angle 7 = ( 5x - 30 )

find angle 1 and 7

angle 1 = 3 ( vertically opposite)

so, angle 3 = ( 3x - 10 )

angle 3 = 7 ( corresponding angles )

( 3x - 10 ) = ( 5x - 30 )

3x- 10 = 5x - 30

-10+30= 5x - 3x

20=2x

1x

Substituing x for 10

angle 1 = 3 (10)

30 - 10 = 20

angle 7 = 5 (10)-30

50-30 = 20
