Answer:

According to SSS criteria, the congruent parts of the triangle are -

AB = DC (4cm)

BC = AD (3cm)

AC = AC (5cm) (both of the triangle i. e. ABC and ADC share a common line)

(as a triangle is congruent by the SSS criteria it means that all the angles are also congruent but there is no mention of angles here)

Hence Δ ABC ~= Δ ADC

Hope this helps.

Have a great day.

Question given :

  • In the following pairs of triangles, the lengths of the sides are indicated along sides. By applying SSScongruence criteria determine which are congruent.Also write the result in symbolic form.

Required solution :

According to the given figure in the statement ,

AB = CD = 4 cm

AD = BC = 3 cm

AC = AC = Common

So , therefore by Side Side Side congruency rule we prove the triangles ABC and ADC to be congruent

Thus , \sf{\pink{\:ABC\:\cong\:ADC}}

Required extra knowledge :

Some congruency rules are ,

  • SSS : Side Side Side
  • ASA : Angle Side Angle
  • SAS : Side Angle Side
  • RHS : Right angle Hypotenuse Side
