and

no. of women be y

According to question -

6x + 10y = 12

3x+5y = ?

here,

the number of men and women be halfed (decreases) so, the time increases.

so,

here the number of men and women is halfed so the time should be taken double.

hence,

2×12 = 24 days.

so,

time taken to work be done by 3 men and 5 women is 24 days...
