Answer : The number of moles of C present when there are four moles of A  in the container are, 4 moles

Explanation :

The given chemical reaction is :

A+3B\rightarrow 2C

Total moles of A = 6 moles

Left moles of A = 4 moles

Decomposed moles of A = 6 - 4 = 2 moles

First we have to calculate the limiting and excess reagent.

From the reaction we conclude that,

As, 1 mole of A react with 3 moles of B

So, 2 moles of A react with 2\times 3=6 moles of B

Total moles of B = 10 mole

Decomposed moles of B = 6 moles

Left moles of B = 10 - 6 = 4 moles

So, the limiting reagent is A and the excess reagent is B.

Now we have to calculate the moles of C.

From the above reaction we conclude that,

As, 1 mole of A react to give 2 moles of C

So, 2 mole of A react to give 2\times 2=4 moles of C

Therefore, the number of moles of C present when there are four moles of A  in the container are, 4 moles
