ANSWER

 Let no. of pots he makes per day = x

 Production cost of each pot is = Rs (40+10x)

 cost of all pots per day =600

According to problem ;

Total cost = no. of pots × production cost each pot.

         600=x(40+10x)

         600=40+10x2

         60=4x+x2

          x2+4x−60=0

     x=2−4±16+240

    x=2−4±256

    x=2−4+16,x=2−4−16 (not possile)

    ∴x=6

    ∴ No. of pots he makes per day = 6

    Cost of each pot is = Rs(40+60)=100Rs

Let no. of pots he makes per day = x

Production cost of each pot is = Rs (40+10x)

cost of all pots per day =600

According to problem ;

Total cost = no. of pots × production cost each pot.

600=x(40+10x)

600=40+10x

60=4x+x
