Answer:

(1/2 a - 3b)×(1/2 a - 3b) = (1/2a-3b)²

Now we will use an algebraic identity (a-b)²

=( a²+b²-2ab)

a = 1/2 and b = 3b

Putting values accordingly

= (1/2a)²+(3b²)-2(1/2a)(3b)

= 1a²/4 + 9b² - 6/2ab

We can cancel -6/2ab by 2 = -3/1ab

So , we get 1a²/4+9b²-3/1ab

by taking a = -1,b=2 ( Given in the question)

= 1×(-1a²)/4 + 9(2²) - (-1)(2)

= 1a²/4 + 36 + 2

= 1a²/4 + 38

Hope it helps you:-)
