6. Out of 1900 km, Vishal travelled some distance
by bus and some by aeroplane. Bus travels

Answer:

let the distance travelled by bus be x and by aeroplane be y.

then time traveled by bus = x/60= T1

and by aeroplane = Y/700 = T2

NOW

T1+T2= 5

x/60+y/700= 5

35x+3y= 10,500

and we know that x+y =1900

now substituting y= 1900-x in first equation.

now we get

35x+3(1900-x) = 10,500

35x+5700-3x = 10,500

32x = 4800

x= 150km

and y = 1900- x

therefore y = 1750km

hence Vishal travelled 1750km by aeroplane and 150 km by bus.
