Step-by-step explanation:

GIVEN EQUATIONS;

(1)........... 6/P - 2/Q = 5

(2)..........2/P + 6/Q = 5

BY MULTIPLYING EQUATION (1) × 6 , EQUATION (2) × 2 ,WE GET;

=> 6 ( 6/P - 2/Q = 5 ) = 36/P - 12/Q = 30

=> 2( 2/P + 6/ Q = 5 ) = 4/P + 12/ Q = 10

THEN, OPERATING EQUATION (1) + EQUATION (2) ,WE GET;

=> 36/P - 12/Q = 30

+ 4/P + 12/ Q = 10

40/P + 0 = 40

=> 40/P = 40

=> P = 40/40

=> P = 1

NOW, SUBSTITUTING THE VALUE OF P = 1 IN EQUATION (2) ,WE GET ;

=> 6 /(1) - 2/Q = 5

=> 6 - 2/Q = 5

=> - 2/Q = 5 - 6

= > -2/Q = -1

=> -1(Q) = -2

=> Q = -2 / -1

=> Q = 2

SO VALUE OF P = 1 ,VALUE OF Q = 2 .
