6 parts of milk are mixed with 1 part of water 5 litre of water are added to the mixture and it is then found that milk is 5 times as much as water how many litres of water when there in the mixture originally

Milk : water = 6:1
Then 5litre water added so the ratio becomes 5:1
We know ratio..
Therefore 6x/(1x+5) = 5/1
Cross multiply
6x=5x+25
X=25
So, Water in originally mixture is 25litre.. Now 5 litres added so it becomes 30litre..
