Answer: 8 sq unit.

Step-by-step explanation:

first join the points then -

to find area of triangle we should use the triangle formula of co-ordinates system.

i.e., area of ∆ = 1/2 [x₁(y₂ - y₃) + x₂(y₃ - y₁) + x₃(y₁ - y₂)]

here (x₁, y₁) = (2, 3) , (x₂, y₂) = (6, 3) and (x₃, y₃) = (4, 7)

so area of triangle = 1/2 [2(3 -7) + 6(7 - 3) + 4(3 - 3)]

= 1/2 [2 × -4 + 6 × 4 + 4 × 0 ]

= 1/2 [-8 + 24 ]

= 1/2 [16]

= 8

Therefore the area of triangle is 8 sq unit .
