AD is parallel to BC and AC is the transverse

<DAC=<BCA

<BAC=<DCA[alternative angles]

In ∆ABC and ∆ADC,

  1. <DAC=<BCA
  2. <BAC=<DCA
  3. AC is the common arm

by A-S-A rule of congruency, both the triangles are congruent to eachother

As they are congruent, angle B=angle D
