ANSWER:

Area of garden = 525 m

Area of path = 168 m

EXPLANATION:

We know that the area of rectangle = l×b

So, the area of the rectangular garden

= 25 × 21

= 525m

Gravel path = 2m

area of gravel path = 2 × 2 = 4

So, new length = 25 - 4 = 21m

new breadth = 21 - 4 = 17m

And the new area = 21 × 17

= 357m

To find:

area of path = area of garden - new area of garden

= 525 - 357

= 168 m

.°. Area of garden = 525 m

and area of path = 168m
