Gɪᴠᴇɴ :-

  • Principal = Rs.40,960
  • Rate = 12.5% per annum.
  • Time = 2 Years.

Fᴏʀᴍᴜʟᴀ ᴜsᴇᴅ :-

  • Compound Interest = Principal * [ {1 + (Rate/100 }² - 1 ]

Sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

Putting all values , we get,

➼ CI = 40960 * [ { 1 + (12.5/100)}² - 1 ]

➼ CI = 40960 * [ { 1 + (1/8) }² - 1 ]

➼ CI = 40960 * [ (9/8)² - 1 ]

➼ CI = 40960 * [ (81/64) - 1 ]

➼ CI = 40960 * [ (81 - 64) / 64 ]

➼ CI = 40960 * (17/64)

➼ CI = Rs.10,880 (Ans.)

Hence, The interest paid by Amar after 2 years is Rs.10,880 .
