6. Set
up the following cases as equations.
a. The
age of Sunil is 48 years. His age is 3 years
less than 3 times the age of his daughter.
b. There are 48 red beads in a packet. The
number of red beads in the packet is S more
than 5 times the number of white beads.
c. Atul got 8 marks more in maths than in
science. His total marks in maths and science
were 178.
d. There are 64 students in a class. The number
of boys in the class is 12 more than the
number of girls in the class.​

here x is the age of the daughter.

5w  + s = 48

here w is the number of white beads.

C.

m - s = 8 \\ m + s = 178

here, m= marks in mathematics

and s= marks in science.

b + g = 64 \\ b - g = 12

here, b= number of boys in the class

and g= number of girls in the class.
