Solution:

 \tt{11x + 4 = 7 + 5x}

 \tt \to{11x + 4 - 5x = 7}

\tt\to{11x + 4 - 5 = 7}

\tt \to{6x + 4 = 7}

\tt \to{6x = 7 - 4}

\tt \to{6x = 3}

\tt \to{x = \cancel\frac{3}{6}} \\

\tt \to{x = \frac{1}{2}} \\

Verification:

Putting x = 1/2 in the LHS

 \sf{ = 11 \times  \frac{1}{2} + 4 = 5.5 + 4 = 9.5} \\

Putting x = 1/2 in the RHS

 \sf{ = 7 + 5 \times  \frac{1}{2} = 7 + 2.2 = 9.5} \\

9.5 = 9.5

LHS = RHS

Hence, verified!
