6 Solve the following pair of linear equation by
Substitution Method

2x+y=14
x -y=6​

2x+y=14----- (1)

x - y=6​----- (2)

Adding both the equations, we get

3x = 20

x = \frac{20}{3}

From (2) equation-----

x - y=6

\frac{20}{3} - y =6

y = \frac{20}{3} - 6

y = \frac{20-18}{3}

y = \frac{2}{3}
