According to the question let the number be x

Now

work done by 6 taps in 30 min =6×30 and

work done by x taps in 20 min =x × 20

the tanka are same in both situation

x. × 20 =6×30

x =  \frac{6 \times 30}{20}  = 9

hence the required no. of taps be 9
