Answer:

diagonal 2 = 8 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of rhombus = diagonal 1 * diagonal 2 * 1/2

16 = 4*diagonal 2*1/2

16*2/4 = diagonal 2

8 = diagonal 2

Gɪᴠᴇɴ :-

  • Area of Rhombus = 16 cm²

  • Length of one diagonal = 4 cm

ᴛᴏ ғɪɴᴅ :-

  • Length of other diagonal

sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

Let the length of other diagonal be 'x'cm

And,

We know that,

Area \: of \: Rhombus =  \frac{1}{2}  \times Product \: of \: its \: Diagonals

So,

By putting above given values in it, we get,

 \implies \: 16 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times x \times 4 \\  \\  \implies \: 16 =  \frac{4x}{2}  \\  \\  \implies \: 16 = 2x \\  \\  \implies \: x \:  =  \frac{16}{2}  \\   \\  \implies \: x \:  = 8 \: cm

Hence,

Length of other diagonal = x = 8cm
