In triangle ABC

X=10

so lenght of ladder AC IS 10 M

now the distance of foot of ladder from wall AB = 8m

and we know lenght of ladder AC = 10m

Intriangle ABC

AC^2 = AB^2 + BC^2

10^2 = 8^2 + y^2

100=64+ y^2

100-64 = y^2
