Given :

  • Length of cuboid brick = 8 cm
  • Breadth of cuboid brick = 7 cm
  • Volume of the brick = 280 cm³

To find :

  • Height of the cuboid brick.

Solution :

Let's assume the Height as h

Now,

We know that,

Volume of cuboid = length × breadth × height

According to Question,

→ 280 = 8 × 7 × h

→ 280 = 56 × h

→ 280/56 = h

→ 5 = h

Height = 5 cm

Therefore,

  • The Height of the cuboid brick is 5 cm respectively.

: Verification :

It is clear that,

Volume of cuboid = l × b × h

Putting the value,

➞ 280 = 8 × 7 × 5

➞ 280 = 56 × 5

➞ 280 = 280

Hence, both sides the value are same.

Thus, Verified !!

Step-by-step explanation:

\frak {Given} \begin{cases} &\sf{Length\ =\ 8cm.} \\ &\sf{Breadth\ =\ 7cm.} \\ &\sf{Volume\ =\ 280cm^3.} \end{cases}

To find:- We have to find the height of the cuboid ?

☯️ Let the height of the cuboid be, h. Here we use the concept of volume of cuboid. The Volume of a cuboid is found by multiplying the breadth by the length by the height (our 3 dimensions..!!!). So let's find...

 \frak{\underline{\underline{\dag As\ we\ know\ that:-}}}

 \sf : \implies {Volume\ of\ Cuboid\ =\ l\ \times\ b\ \times\ h.}

Here:-

  • l, is for length.
  • b, is for breadth.
  • h, is for height.

 \frak{\underline{\underline{\dag By\ substituting\ the\ values,\ we\ get:-}}}

 \sf : \implies {Volume\ =\ l\ \times\ b\ \times\ h} \\ \\ \\ \sf : \implies {280\ =\ 8\ \times\ 7\ \times\ h} \\ \\ \\ \sf : \implies {280\ =\ 56\ \times\ h} \\ \\ \\ \sf : \implies {\cancel \dfrac{280}{56}\ =\ h} \\ \\ \\ \sf : \implies {5\ =\ h} \\ \\ \\ \sf : \implies {\purple{\underline{\boxed{\bf h\ =\ 5cm.}}}}\bigstar

Hence:-

 \sf \therefore {\underline{The\ required\ height\ of\ the\ cuboid\ is\ 5cm.}}
