Answer:

✳Length of the rectangle  = 10m .

✳Breadth of the rectangle = 5m.

SOLUTION

Given

The perimeter of the rectangle is 30m.

Also , given that length of the rectangle is twice its breadth.

To Find

Find the length & the breadth of the rectangle .

ANSWER

Let us Assume that the breadth of the rectangle is 'x' cm.

∵ Length is twice the breadth of the rectangle.

\implies

Length of the rectangle = 2x \longrightarrow(1)

Perimeter of a Rectangle =  2 (l+b)

Here,

Perimeter = 30m.

Substituting ,

l = 2x

b = x

\implies

30 = 2(2x+x)

\implies

30 = 4x + 2x

\implies

30 = 6x

\implies

\sf x = \dfrac{30}{6}

\implies

x = 5m.

Breadth of the rectangle (x) = 5m.

From (1) ,

Length of the rectangle = Twice the Breadth of the rectangle

\implies

Length = 2 × 5

\implies

Length = 10m.
