Step-by-step explanation:

Let the breadth of the rectangle =x cm

length of the rectangle =2x cm

perimeter of the rectangle = 2(2x+x) cm

Therefore,

2(2x+x) =96

x= 16

length of the rectangle = 2×16

= 32 cm

Answer:

Given

length of of rectangle is twice its breadth.

perimeter of the rectangle is 96cm.

let the breadth be x

then, length=2x

Formula of the perimeter of rectangle

= 2(l+b)

=>2(2x+x) = 96

=>2×3x =96

=>6x = 96

=>x =96/6

=>x=16

therefore breadth is equal to 16cm.

length =2x

=2×16

=32cm
