6. The resistance of a given wire is 24 ohm . What will be it's new resistance if (a) only the length of a conductor is increased to 3 time of it's original length , and (b) only the cross - section area of the wire is doubled ?​

b) R inversely proportional to area of cross section

as

so the resistance is halved when cross section doubled
