By the equation of continuity, the ratio of the speed is

v2​v1​​=A1​A2​​=(d1​d2​​)2

∴ d1​d2​​=v2​v1​​

​=42​

​=2

​1​=0.707

∴d2​=0.707d1​=0.707(0.1m)=0.0707m
