Answer:

let no. of students be equal to each donated

let it be x .

so , if x is the term

then the equation must be

x² = 2401

x = 49

so , each student donated rupees 49 and no. of students = 49

\sf\red{Given :-}

The students of class 8 of a school donated 2401 to the tsunami relief fund. Each student donated as many Rupees as the number of students in the class. Find the number of students in the class.

\sf\red{Solution :-}

Let the no. of students be 2

Then, the amount paid by them will be = ₹ 2

\sf\blue{Total\:donation\::-}

\dashrightarrow\sf{Amount\:donated\:by\:1st\:student}

+

\dashrightarrow\sf{Amount\:donated\:by\:2nd\:student}\\\\

\dashrightarrow\sf{ 2 + 2 }\\\\

\dashrightarrow\sf{2 × 2 = 4}\\\\

So we can say that,

⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀Total donation = Total no. of ⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀students + Amount paid by them.

______________

Given,

\sf\blue{Total\:donation\::- \:2401 rs}

nd' each student donated as many rupees as

the number of students in the class.

Let the no. of students be x

Rs paid by each = ₹ x

\sf\blue{Total\:donation\::-}

\dashrightarrow\sf{ x × x = 2401}\\\\

\dashrightarrow\sf{x^2 = 2401}\\\\

\dashrightarrow\sf{x = \sqrt{2401}}\\\\

\dashrightarrow\sf{x = 49}\\\\
