Sum of 8 consecutive odd numbers = 656

i.e.,a+a+2+a+4+a+6+a+8+a+10+a+12+a+14=656

8a+56=656

8a=600; a=75:

Smallest odd number is 75

Average of four consecutive even numbers =87

Let b be the first number of the above mentioned four consecutive even numbers.

sum of the four even numbers=87×4=348

b+ b+2+ b+4+ b +6=4b+12=348

4b = 348–12= 336;

b=336÷4=84

So the even numbers are 84,86,88,90.

The second largest even number is 88.
