the ground at a distance of 8 m from the base of the tree. Find the original
height of the tree.

By observing the figure we came to conclude
that right angle triangle is formed at A.
From the rule of pythagoras theorem ,
BC^2 = AB^2 +AC^2
BC^2 =6^2 +8^2
BC^2 = 36 + 64
BC^2 = 100
BC = √square rote of 100 is 10
BC = 10m
Then the original height of the tree =
=AB + BC
6+10
=16m.
