Given :

The Speed of vehicle = 75 kmph

The Speed of vehicle = 50 kmph

The fuel at 75 kmph is 30% mote than that of 50 kmph

Total distance cover at speed 50 kmph = d = 195 kms

To Find :

The distance cover at speed 75 kmph

Solution :

Distance = Speed ×Time

Let The distance cover at speed 75 kmph = D kms

Let The quantity of fuel at 50 kmph = x liters

So, The quantity of fuel at 75 kmph = x + 30% of x

                                                          = 1.3 x liters

More fuel consumption at high speed means less time taken

So,

At Speed of 75 kmph

  D km = 75 kmph × 1.3 x

Or, D = 97.5 x                             ..........1

Again

At Speed of 50 kmph

  d km = 50 kmph ×  x

Or, 195 = 50 x

i.e   x = \dfrac{195}{50} = 3.9

The quantity of fuel at 50 kmph = x = 3.9 liters

And

The quantity of fuel at 75 kmph = 1.3 × x =  1.3 × 3.9 = 5.07 liters

Again

Put The value of x into eq 1 , we get

Distance D = 97.5 x

                   = 97.5 × 3.9

                   = 380.25 km

Hence, The distance cover at speed 75 kmph is 380.28 km   Answer
