p(x) = 2x² - 18x + 40

p(x) = 2x² - 10x - 8x + 40

p(x) = 2x(x - 5) - 8(x - 5)

p(x) = (x - 5)(2x - 8)

x - 5 = 0 ; 2x - 8 = 0

x = 5 ; x = 8/2

x = 5 ; x = 4

Hence, Zeroes of the given quadratic polynomial is 5 and 4.
