Let the radius of the pond be 'r'. since man takes exactly 220 step of 55 cm to go around the pond.

Hence, the circumference of the pond =55×220

=12,100cm

circumference of the circular pond =2πr

220=2πr

⇒220=2×722×r

⇒r=220×447

⇒r=35m

∴ Diameter of the pond =2×r

=2×35

=70m.
