6. Two numbers are such that the ratio between them is 5 : 2. If each is

increased by 1 the ratio between the new numbers so formed is 7 : 3. Find
the original number.

let Original number =5x, 2x

 \frac{5x + 1}{2x + 1}  =  \frac{7}{3}

3(5x+1) =7(2x+1)

15x+3=14x+7

15x-14x=7-3

x=4

°Orignal number=5x, 2x

=20, 8
