4.4 g of CO2 will be released

as according to the given reaction equation one molecule of CaCO3 produces 1 molecule of CO2

so, 10 g of CaCO3 means 1/10 moles of it

so 1/10 moles of CO2 will be produced

molar mass of CO2 is 44g

so mass of 1/10 moles of CO2= 44×1/10= 4.4g
