The main grouse of rani of jhansi against british was that , Sir Hugh Rose laid siege to the fortress of jhanshi in march 1858. Rani offered a brave resistance. But jhansi was captured by british with the help of traitors who opened the gate of fortress on the night of 4th april 1858.
