I like to think that the earth would be incredibly cold at night for the lack of greenhouse gases, because there would be nothing to contain the heat. The heat from the sun would then not be retained for londg enough.

At present , roughly 30•/• of the incoming solar radiation is reflected back to the space by the clouds,aerosols,& the surface of earth.without naturally occurring green house gases ,Earth average temperature would be near 0°f are (-18°c),instent of the much warmer 59°f(15°c).
