the first level of classification among plants depends upon whether the plant body has well differentiated distinct components depending upon this criteria plants are classified as thallophyta bryophyta and pteridophyta the thallophytes bryophytes and pteridophytes have inconspicuous reproductive organs and they called as cryptogamae for those with hidden reproductive organs the second level of classification is based on the differentiated plant body special tissue for the transport of xylem and other substances with fluid depending upon this criteria plants are classified as vascular and non vascular the next level of classification is based on seed producing and non seed producing a seed producing then on the basis for the seeds enclosed or not...
