Given : linear inequality in two variables x + y < 5

To Find  : Which graph represent the same

Solution:

x + y <  5

x = 0 , y = 0

=> 0 + 0 = 0 < 5

Hence origin satisfies  and is on left side of line

Hence A &   C look matching this

But C has solid line which means it satisfy  x+ y = 5 also

Hence C shows  x + y ≤ 5

But inequality is x + y < 5

Hence A is the correct graph
