Peoples Who makes The Parliament:

• The Parliament has people from different Backgrounds.

. For example, there are rural members as also members from many regional parties.

• There has also been an increase from the dalit ,backward castes and minorities.

. Some seats are reserved in the Parliament for SCs and STs.

. It has recently been suggested that there should be a reservation of seats for women.

• Sixty years ago, only 4% of MPs were women.

. Today, it is just above nine per cent.
