ANSWER :-

Indicator is added in small quantity while doing titration as its an easy method of determining concentration of an unknown solution with the help of volumetric titrations, where we take a reference of a solution of known standard to find unknown one. So, we generally put indicator into unknown solution in beaker so, that we can notice the “end-point” of solution.

Answer:

Indicators, when dilute in a given solution, are spread and hence react and change the colour to show the results.

But if the liquid is less and the indicator's amount is more, it remains as a bulk and doesn't easily disseminate to show the results.

Always use a pure and dilute indicator [for the case of powdered indicators ] to obtain correct results.
