The option move is desirable when we want a particular object to be placed somewhere else than it's initial position

It is done by using cut (Ctrl+X) and paste ( Ctrl+V) option. It doesn't leave anything(that is selected) at the initial position.

➡ Copy

When we want an object to be not only at somewhere else but also at the initial position, then we need copy option.

This is done by using copy (Ctrl+C) and paste(Ctrl+V)
