Liquid=>Milk, Tea, Water, etc.

Gas=>Air, Oxygen, Nitrogen, etc.

there are three states of matter ;-

(i) solid ⇒ the particles are tightly bounded due to the strong intermolecular forces . they have definite shape and volume .

example = metal .

(ii) liquid ⇒ the intermolecular force is weaker than that of solid but stronger than gaseous state . they have definite volume but no shape.

example = water .

(iii) gas ⇒ the intermolecular force are very weak among gaseous molecules . they neither have definite shape and volume .

example  = O₂ gas ( oxygen gas)
