6 years ago, sameer was three times as old as shreyas. After 12 years, sameer would be twice as old as shreyas. How old are they now. what is the answer for this? pls show how to form equation and find the answer.

if shreyas age is 6years now than sameer's age would be 24.after 12 yrs shreyas age would be 18 and sameer's age would be 3 times as shreyas that is 54

s-6=3sr-18
s=3sr+6-18
s=3sr-12
s=3sh-12
s+12=2(sh+12)......................1
3sh-12+12=2sh+12...................from1
3sh=2sh+12
sh=12
s=3 x 12-12=36-12=24
shreya=12 and sameer age =24
