6. You are Rohan / Ragini. During a visit to Mumbai you happened to visit the sets of a television reality
show featuring children. The long shooting hours made you wonder whether the children were losing
their precious childhood years, which should have been spent enjoying a carefree life in the lap of nature
rather than satisfying the desires of overambitious parents and contributing to the family income. Write
a letter to the Editor of a leading National daily expressing your concern in not more than 120 words.
Take ideas from the hints given below: 7
➢ Loss of innocence
➢ Neglect of studies
➢ Overriding parental ambition.

Respected Sir,
With due Respect I Rogan want to share an experience that I encountered at the sets of a television show featuring children
I noticed the gloomy and dull looks that the children had during the show even thought they were cheerful in the show
The young children who should be exploring things were constricted in a strict place banishing their creativity and innovation
This also leads to the neglegence and disinterestedness in studies and focusing more time on the sets
The ambition which their parents hold can affect the child terribly as it can sct as a burden on the young minds causing them to not realise who they truly are. TV shows these days come with a lot of mature content and expect children to mature which lead to loss of innocence
These are the concerns that I as a Student present before you
